Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag says the club’s injury problems are dragging the football team back from where they should be.

United suffered 45 injuries last season, more than any other Premier League side. While they were without 10 first-team players for Thursday’s Europa League draw with Fenerbahce. With nine of them sidelined through injury UFABET

Although Jonny Evans is in contention to return to the squad for this week’s game at West Ham. There are still serious doubts over Brazilian winger Antony, who was stretchered off in the second half of the game in Turkey.

Luke Shaw, Lanie Yoro and Tyrell Malacia have not played at all this season. While Mason Mount has made five appearances. Including the Community Shield, and is now out for the second time this season.

“Yes, it does put us at a disadvantage in our level and in our position in the league. When you don’t have the right players, you can’t put the best team in the first place.” Ten Hag said.

Manchester United hoped they would solve their problems by hiring Gary O’Driscoll from Arsenal as their new chief medical officer 12 months ago.

But it ultimately didn’t happen, and Ten Hag knows his team will struggle to fulfil their potential until they find the answer.

“We always need more players. We all have to work together on this, the players, the coaching staff and other staff.”

“We have to do better because we know that when we have them. We are a tough team to play against and we can succeed.”
