Spurs are ready to trigger a one-year extension on Ben Davis contract, The Athletic reports. Davis’ current contract with Tottenham Hotspur is set to expire at the end of this football season. But The Athletic reports that the London club are open to triggering a one-year extension.

The deal was agreed when the Welshman signed a new contract in 2022. Giving Spurs the option to choose whether to use him or not.UFABET

Although Davis has only played in 8 matches this season, head coach Ange Postecoglou believes that. The 31-year-old defender is still useful, and with the player being able to play at left back and centre half. Ange wants the club to extend his contract.

The Athletic believe that Spurs are ready to make the move. Which is the same case as Son Heung-min, who was previously reported.

For Davis, he moved from Swansea to play for Spurs in 2014. Making a total of 338 appearances in all competitions.

If he does stay until the end of next season, the 31-year-old would have completed 12 seasons at Spurs, which is a phenomenal achievement in modern football.

Postecoglou refuted suggestions that the experienced Tottenham man does not get the respect he deserves, pointing out that. He is thought of highly in the game. The Australian also praised the defender for the way he has adapted to the centre-back role since he arrived.
